Learning Administrator Role

The Learning Administrator (LA) role is designed for departments who wish to create and manage multiple offerings (3+) in EDGE Learning. If a department has a substantial number of offerings, they can have two Learning Administrators.

Becoming a Learning Administrator

To become a Learning Administrator, you must complete the Learning Administrator training program. This takes around 25-30 hours. It is important that training participants enter this program with content that is ready-to-go for web-based offerings or an offering plan determined for synchronous trainings. The Learning Administrator training centers around real time application of your first offering, allowing you to practice the processes you will learn. By the end of this training program, your first offering should be ready to launch.

Training components include:

  • Asynchronous web-based trainings
  • Four synchronous trainings
  • Attending check-ins with the Central Learning Administrator
  • Building your offering in the EDGE Learning practice and production site

Learning Administrator Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and implement offerings in EDGE Learning
  • Service representative for training issues or questions about your department offerings
  • Support questions, training, and business processes for your instructors
  • Liaison feedback from stakeholders on EDGE Learning experience and request for system optimization
  • Triannual update testing, maintenance, and liaison for updates
  • Attend monthly Learning Administrator Interest Group meetings
